Gaza University Council Meets Virtually with the Council of the University of Montreal in Canada

A meeting between the Council of Gaza University and the Council of the Canadian University of Montreal via zoom technology, in the presence of University president Prof. Dr. Hassan Abu Jarad, academic and administrative deputies, members of the University Council and the French Language Center at the university, and in the presence of Mrs. Catherine Filmier, Assistant President for International Relations, many deans of faculties and heads of academic and community departments, and Mr. Frederic Oulette, responsible for international cooperation in the Canadian province of Quebec.
The meeting, which was coordinated by Dr. Ziad Madoukh, discussed the university issues related research cooperation between the two universities and the development of the French Language Center at Gaza University.
In his speech, the President of the University, Prof. Hassan Abu Jarad, thanked the Canadian University for this meeting, and gave an overview of the university's programs, colleges and academic departments, and the development taking place at the university, stressing the importance of teaching general and professional French at the university as a bridge and a means to obtain job opportunities in French-speaking countries, declaring the university's readiness and management to facilitate the establishment of the French Language Center at the university, and introduce French language teaching in some university disciplines, and enhance cooperation with the Canadian University.
An important discussion and dialogue took place between the attendees from the two universities, and it was agreed to organize other meetings between specialists from the two universities to promte partnership, scientific research, university and community cooperation, and to provide training courses and consultations from French language experts at the Canadian University via Zoom for the supervisors of the French Language Center at Gaza University.
