Gaza University Celebrates Laying the Foundation Stone of the Pride and Dignity Building Funded by the State of Kuwait

Gaza University and Rahma Organization around the world celebrated the signing of a cooperation agreement and laying the foundation stone for the Pride and Dignity Building, which is funded by the State of Kuwait to serve Gaza University students and Palestinian students in general.

The President of the University, Prof. Hassan Abu Jarad, welcomed the delegation of Rahma Organization for Relief and Development, represented by Mr. Adib Shweiki, Vice President of the Organization, Mr. Muhammad Quddus, Director of Rahma Palestine Office, and Mr. Barham Al-Kara, Director of International Projects in Rahma Palestine Office.

He thanked their efforts in supporting the education sector in Palestine, stressing the importance of continued Arab support for the Palestinian cause, expressing his thanks to the State of Kuwait Amir, Government and  people for what they provide to serve the Palestinian people and that Gaza University is moving steadily towards keeping pace with academic developments around the world and opening new buildings that serve university students.

Mr. Adeeb Shweiki, Vice President of Rahma Organization around the world, stressed the continued Arab support for educational institutions, thanking Gaza University for the warm reception and good arrangements for the signing ceremony and laying the foundation stone for the Dignity and Pride Building, which serves students in their educational journey, stressing the importance of using the building to serve the largest number of students, and contribute to developing their skills to keep pace with the labor market.

The signing ceremony and laying of the foundation stone were attended by Prof. Dr. Riyad Al-Khodari, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Dr. Ali Mansour, Vice Chairman of the Higher Supervisory Board, Vice Presidents of the University, members of the Board of Trustees of the University, members of the University Council and a number of lecturers.
