Gaza University - Public Relations

Gaza University signed a memorandum of understanding with the Spanish consulate today, Monday 9/12/2019, at the university in the presence of the Spanish consul in Jerusalem Ignacio García-Valdecasas Fernández, the Spanish deputy consul Sofía Ruiz del Árbol Moro and Professor Farid Al-Qeeq, the president of the university, in the presence of Professor  Riyadh Al-Khudari Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Representatives and some members of the University Council.

At the beginning, Dr. Farid Al-Qeeq welcomed the Spanish consul in his first visit to Gaza Strip and the Gaza University , appreciating this visit and the efforts made to discuss ways of cooperation, stressing the university's keenness to strengthen international relations in a way that contributes to the development of the university and the promotion of different cultures.

In an interview with the Spanish consul, he expressed his happiness for this visit and the good reception at Gaza University and the importance of these international relations that enhance the means of joint cooperation, and stressed that the consulate is fully prepared to provide the required support to spread the teaching of the Spanish language and culture.

This achievement comes as a result of the efforts made recently by the university represented by Dr. Kholoud ElBatsh to strengthen relations with the European Union countries, especially Spain, where the university will work to provide specialized courses to teach the Spanish language and open a Spanish library with the support and supervision of the Spanish consulate and the implementation of some Palestinian-Spanish cultural activities and will be agreed later To expand areas of cooperation to include academic and research cooperation and fruitful partnerships.
